Privacy policy

Last updated September 17, 2026

Private by design

Fluere is made by Innovate App Studios (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Fluere Mac app, fluerevoice.com, and our support. Your voice and the words you dictate stay on your Mac. We collect only what we need to run your account, your subscription, and support. We don’t sell your information or use it for advertising.

What stays on your Mac

Fluere transcribes speech and polishes text on your Mac using Apple’s on-device speech recognition and Apple Intelligence. These never leave your Mac: audio, transcripts, dictated text, dictation history, dictionary entries, writing styles, and app settings.

With your permission, Fluere uses Accessibility access to insert text into the field you’re typing in. In some apps it briefly uses the clipboard to paste, then puts back what was there. Fluere doesn’t send clipboard contents or anything from other apps to us. Apple may download speech recognition files to your Mac, and Apple’s privacy policy covers that download.

Your account

You sign in to Fluere with Google or Apple. We receive:

  • From Google: your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account ID.
  • From Apple: your email address (which may be an Apple private relay address), your Apple account ID, and your name if Apple shares it.

We store this with your account, along with records of when you signed in. For security, these records include your IP address and basic device and browser information.

Information from Google

We use information from Google only to create your account, sign you in, connect your subscription, and reply when you contact us. We don’t use it for advertising, sell it, use it to train AI models, or share it except with the service providers listed below that run Fluere for us.

Fluere’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Word counts

After Fluere inserts a dictation, the app sends the number of words and a random request ID so we can apply your plan’s word allowance. The words themselves are never sent.

Subscriptions and payments

Stripe processes payments. We never receive or store your full card number. Stripe receives your account email, and we store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, plan, subscription status, and renewal dates.

Feedback and support

When you send feedback from the app, we receive the topic, your message, any images or videos you attach, and, unless you turn it off, your app version, macOS version, and Mac model. We store it privately and email it to our support inbox with your account email so we can reply. Transcripts, history, and audio are never attached. If you email us, we keep that conversation to help you.

Student discount

When you request a student discount, we use your school email address to send a verification link. We store only a scrambled (hashed) version of that address, plus the status of your discount code.

App updates

Fluere checks our update server for new versions. Like any web request, the check includes your IP address and the app and macOS versions. It doesn’t send a profile of your Mac.

Website

The website records anonymous page visits through Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn’t use third-party cookies, keep visitor IP addresses, or identify people across websites. Analytics may include the page path, referrer, general location, browser, operating system, and device type.

We store the time of each download request to count downloads. These records contain no IP addresses, names, email addresses, cookies, or account IDs.

How we use information

We use the information above to provide Fluere, apply plan limits, process payments, answer support requests, keep accounts secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We don’t build advertising profiles.

Service providers

These companies process information for us, only to run Fluere:

  • Supabase: accounts, database, and file storage.
  • Stripe: payments and subscriptions.
  • Resend: support and verification emails.
  • Vercel: website hosting and analytics.
  • Google and Apple: sign-in.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect people’s safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of Fluere, in which case this policy continues to apply.

Keeping and deleting information

We keep account information while your account exists. To delete your account, email support@fluerevoice.com from your account’s email address. Within 30 days, we delete your account, word counts, feedback, and attachments. We keep billing records only as long as tax and accounting laws require.

Data on your Mac stays under your control. You can delete history and dictionary entries in the app, export your data with Export Local Data in Settings, or remove it by deleting Fluere and its data.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit. Database rules limit each account to its own data, and your sign-in session is kept in your Mac’s Keychain. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access, correct, export, or delete your information by emailing support@fluerevoice.com. Depending on where you live, including California, the European Economic Area, and the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights, and we honor them. We don’t sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Children

Fluere isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Where information is processed

We process and store information in the United States.

Changes to this policy

When we update this policy, we change the date above. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
