Fluere vs Apple Dictation

Apple Dictation is free and built into your Mac. Fluere uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition and adds cleanup, per-app styles, a dictionary, and translation.
The short version
Fluere transcribes with Apple’s on-device speech recognition, so the words themselves come from the same place. The difference is what happens around them.
Apple Dictation types what you say, adds punctuation, and costs nothing. Fluere also removes filler words, applies the style you set for each app, spells your names and terms from your Dictionary, and can translate or create reminders from the same Fn key. With Apple, rewriting is a separate step in Writing Tools.

Choose Apple Dictation if
- Plain transcription is enough, and you don’t want another app or account.
- You dictate in languages Fluere doesn’t support.
- You need full voice control of your Mac: Voice Control adds editing commands and custom vocabulary.
